For you were Kind to me

Spinning

And running

By the power of the feet of mortals

The paths of the world are long and great

But when one sees the infinite

Before us

Like the stairway to the moon

And when

One beholds

The mighty eyes

Greater then the forest

Which beams as the light

Of the world

In the plains

And in the meadows

We find each other

And we know

That the feet of mortals

Shall pass away

And the paths of the world

Are reduced to nothing

When one sees infinity

As the mathematical forms before us

Pouring itself out across the ages

And finding its light

So as to

Thwart the proud

Of the earth

And emerge victorious

As a light eternal

For the lonely and wandering ones

Who then find friendship

Under the trees

And the fair image

Of love

Swelling in the night

As heaven and earth

Join as one

And the same

Image of everything

For I was weak

And you lifted me up

For I was suffering

And you were kind to me

Every simple act of kindness

Is an image of the infinite

A place for us to smile and to be happy

To be simple and to be pure

By the dark light within us all

There is love

And this love

Is nothing but joy

For those who know it

Hour of Peace
