A Flicker of Light

In a flicker of light,

Is a sun clear and white.

Standing like moonlight,

In a cascade of darkness.

Shall love only glimmer,

As the ghost of pure water?

Alongside the ocean,

Of a time long forgotten?

Never shall this be,

As long as truth remains.

A friend you are to me,

And never once forgotten.

A tall and leafy tree,

In the shadows of my mind.

For love is more than real,

A dream more clear than earth.

A circle of one minute,

In the fabric of time so clearly.

Is a cloth of silver white,

Across the gorgeous sky.
