In Thoughts Unaltered

In thoughts unaltered

Is a glimpse of mystery

Like a spring of eternal water

Gushing from the faces of the black garden.

Amidst the human heart

Is a road that none can travel

With conceptions too sublime

For any words to tell.

And with all the arts together

It is not enough to show

The ever-changing glory

Of the heart within in us all.

In Words and Visions

The Sun of the Seashore
